Francisco Garcia moves to MX2 with KRT

The MX2 factory project, launched nearly two years ago by Kawasaki Motors, Ltd., has already enjoyed significant success through the partnership of the Kawasaki Racing Team and Valin. The French teenager - the EMX250 champion in 2024 in his first year with Kawasaki – has proven the competitiveness of the KX250 when they won the recent German round of the World Championship in just their second season of competition at this level. Next season, the Kawasaki Racing Team MX2 will expand and line up two riders in the MX2 World Championship. It was clear to all parties that Garcia was the perfect choice as teammate to Valin. Francisco, who joined the Team Green family last year, has shown his potential admirably in the European series with Team Bud Racing, who celebrated a twenty-year partnership with Kawasaki recently. Francisco has already won five of the first eight races to date this season and holds a commanding lead in the championship standings. At just eighteen years of age, he also made a strong MX2 GP debut as wild card at the French GP with a top-ten result overall. As the European championship takes a break in July, he will have the opportunity to gain even more experience as he will race several US outdoor events with Bud Racing.
